My team and I were given the opportunity to create the branding for the Austin Community College’s Visual Communications Department. The client wanted a design that: 1) represented each department within VisCom; 2) was welcoming; and 3) was vibrant. I chose a color palette and typography that drew inspiration from the original Austin Community College but with more vibrancy. I created icons that represented all of the five departments within VisCom. The stylized square icons were created to increase the visual aesthetics of the building while also providing non-intrusive way-finding markers for the students and faculty.
